What this actually is

Moving home in Czechia means notifying several bodies separately — there is no single change-of-address service that covers everything. Foreign nationals also have a reporting duty tied to their residence status.

When it's required

Within 30 days of moving, in most cases.

Step by step

Report to the residence authority
Ministry of the Interior or Foreign Police, depending on your status.

Tell your health insurer
This keeps your correspondence and cover records accurate.

Tell the tax office if you are self-employed
Your registered business address may also need updating in the trade register.

Update banks, employer and utilities
These are not automatic and are the most common source of missed post.
